Here is my inspriation for my outdoor cooking- my Dad
grilling on one of his favorite grills- Boy! that was a
beauty! Notice the covered grill surface- with the slot to
hold a rotisserrie- not to mention the warming drawer on
top with a built in thermometer. Dad was never really big
on outdoor cooking- a hot dog here, a hamburger there,
maybe a chicken or a steak every now and then, but it
was just enough to plant a seed in me to strive to learn
to cook on the grill as good as dad always did.

Dad also gave me an appreciation for the great outdoors.
He was never big on sports, but he did manage to round
up the family after a hard week of work and take us all
camping. And with camping comes more outdoor cooking!

I am not a "trained" chef by any formal means. I do remember
flipping through Mom's dogeared copy of "Better Home's and
Garden's Cookbook ever since I was young enough to read. For
me- cooking is just one of those passions- that derives from
deep inside you- although my career choices went in other
directions.
I have always been mechanically inclined- taking apart anything
that was discarded in our house just to see how it worked. A
real mechanical "tinkerer" I will try to fix anything before I
consider it for the trash pail. I have spent the last 15+ years of
my working life as a service technician working on everything
from chainsaws to bulldozers. I guess it was only natural that
when a series of life altering events forced me to try a different
occupation that I would combine my two passions- outdoor
cooking and mechanical repair!

We will be offering many different products in our online store.
Products that I am familiar with cooking on- as well as products
that I feel will make your outdoor cooking experiences as
memorable as mine have been.
